Her desire to bring high quality veterinary care to one of Boston’s favorite neighborhoods led to the founding of Back Bay Veterinary Clinic in 2000. With a big heart and a soft touch for her patients and their families, Pam leads the team and constantly strives to bring the highest quality and most progressive care to the practice. A staunch believer in preventive medicine and dental health, she will assure you that your pet is getting the best care possible. After practicing in primary care, Surell completed a fellowship in emergency and critical care at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital where she remains on staff. Dr. Levine excels with emergency cases and preventive health patients alike, enjoys complex medical cases and challenging surgeries. Dr. Jou has quickly earned herself a loyal following and has become a very important part of our practice. An astute clinician with tremendous skill and patience, Rita is a favorite of patients and staff alike. Dr. Jou’s medical interests include soft-tissue surgery, behavior, nutrition, and preventive health. Off hours, Rita enjoys travelling with friends and family. Beth received her undergraduate and veterinary degree from Cornell University. She also completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Purdue University. Born and raised in New York City, Kate graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1985 with a BA in Theatre and Writing. She attended the New York School of Dog Grooming in 1991, worked at Amsterdog Groomers in New York and joined our team in July 2001.
